Acceptable use policy
What is allowed with the extension, what is not, and which risk stays with you.
Last updated 15 September 2026
This policy forms part of the terms and conditions. It is short because the tool is simple: it fills in an input field and stops. Most of what you need to observe therefore does not come from our rules but from the terms of the platforms you publish on.
The four rules
- Your own accounts only. No one else’s, no bought ones, no invented ones.
- No mass publishing, no spam, no advertising networks.
- The terms of each platform apply in addition and take precedence.
- No unlawful content.
1. Your own accounts
You may use the extension only for accounts that belong to you or for which you are expressly authorised to act on behalf of the owner, for example as an employee or agent of a company.
Use for bought, borrowed, taken over or automatically created accounts is not permitted, nor for accounts that impersonate another person or organisation.
2. Human scale
The extension deliberately contains no features for mass operation: no queues across many accounts, no serial publishing, no automatic repetition of posts. It is made for one person who writes their own posts.
The extension contains daily limits per platform. They are not a suggestion but a limit. It is not permitted to get around them with several installations, several profiles or several accounts.
Prohibited in particular are spam, coordinated inauthentic activity, operating the extension for third parties for payment without their knowledge, and any use designed to create reach artificially.
3. Content
You alone are responsible for the content you prepare and publish. The provider does not see this content, does not store it and does not review it.
It is not permitted to prepare content that breaks applicable law, in particular content that infringes the rights of third parties, incites hatred or violence, violates personal rights or constitutes a criminal offence.
The library of saved lines is a writing aid. Whether a line fits in a particular case is for you to decide.
4. The platforms’ terms take precedence
X, Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon and W Social each have their own terms of use, and on Mastodon the rules of the server you use apply as well. They apply to your accounts regardless of this policy and take precedence over it. Where a platform prohibits something that we do not, the platform’s prohibition applies.
It is your responsibility to know and follow these terms. They change without notice and without our involvement.
Explicit notice about the risk
The extension operates a platform’s website in your browser. Even though you send the post yourself in the end, a platform may regard such use as unwanted automation. Some platforms expressly prohibit automated access in their terms.
We consider the risk low, because the extension works in your own browser in your own session, with pauses between the platforms, with daily limits and without making the publishing click itself. But we cannot rule it out.
To that extent you use the extension at your own risk. The provider is not liable for measures a platform takes against your account, in particular restrictions, suspensions or deletions, unless the provider is at fault. We say this clearly here so that nobody is surprised later.
5. Technical limits
It is not permitted to get around the platforms’ security or rate limits, to modify the extension in order to get around this policy, or to get around the unlocking of the Pro features.
Examining the extension, for example to report security vulnerabilities, is expressly welcome. Please report findings to info@prefill.eu before you publish them.
6. Consequences of breaches
In the event of a breach of this policy, the provider may, depending on its severity, first issue a warning, suspend the Pro features or terminate the contract for cause. If the provider terminates for cause, fees already paid in advance are refunded pro rata for the unused period, unless the breach was intentional.
The provider does not monitor your use and as a rule only learns of a breach through a report from outside.
